Norwich earned a fifth successive win and back to back Carrow Road victories in the space of four days, with a 3-2 defat of Hull – although it ended up being far from straightforward.
That was enough to return City and newly re-signed head coach Daniel Farke to the top of the Championship – with their closest rivals going head to head on Saturday lunchtime, when Leeds host Sheffield United (12.30pm).
Meanwhile, Rotherham gave their survival hopes a boost in midweek with a 2-1 win at Queens Park Rangers.
The Millers – manager by boyhood City supporter Warne – are unbeaten in their last three home games; their last home defeat coming against Leeds in January.
It is the one remaining international break of the campaign that follows, before City sign off for March with a tough trip to Tony Pulis’ fellow promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough (March 30, 5.30pm).
Just seven fixtures then remain, with City hosting QPR and Reading to kick-off April.
Each and every Norwich City first-team game, our reporters will be on the scene. If you see them – especially with their cameras – say hello.
