Graham Dorrans is backing Norwich City starlet James Maddison to be a Carrow Road hit next season once the summer dust settles

Graham Dorrans believes a goal-scoring league debut is just the start for James Maddison at Norwich City.
It’s almost 18 months since Maddison was snapped up by City from his boyhood club Coventry, in a deal said to be worth much more than its initially reported £2.5m for the then 19-year-old.
Lengthy loan spells and a glut of number 10 talent left Alex Neil and, less so, Alan Irvine struggling to give Maddison first-team opportunities.
But finally, the playmaker got his chance at Preston on Easter Monday – and even notched a well-taken goal in his 11-minute Deepdale cameo, just to underline his determination to succeed.
“James has been great since he’s come in,” said Dorrans. “He’s a young lad and he’s had to wait for his chance.
“Everyone is delighted for him there, that he’s come on and got his goal. He’s got a big future ahead of him and I’m sure we’ll see a lot more of him next season.”
