Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies says he is more concerned with his own selection issues than whether or not Grant Holt and Wes Hoolahan will be fit for the Canaries tonight.

Davies has some big decisions to make ahead of the vital Championship clash at Carrow Road.

He must decide whether to restore Chris Gunter at right-back, after resting him for the 2-0 midweek win over Burnley.

And he must choose who to play up front, following David McGoldrick's two-goal cameo, coming off the bench.

'To be quite honest, I am more concerned about us than them,' said Davies, a former team-mate of City boss Paul Lambert at St Mirren.

'I don't know whether their players are injured or not.

'But we will just attempt to cause them as many problems as we can, rather than worry about them.

'We have players coming back from injury and coming back to form. And there are a few decisions to make.

'We rested Chris Gunter, but Brendan (Moloney) handled the situation very well. That is why we extended his contract, because he is a player with good potential.

'He has to handle producing consistent performances, home and away.'

Nathan Tyson could be available again after suffering a back spasm before the midweek game.

Davies was also impressed with the performance of midfielder Lewis McGugan against Burnley, although he is also concerned about his energy levels, following a tough flurry of fixtures.

'This is Lewis's third game in a row now and we need to be careful with him,' he said. 'His energy was good on Tuesday. It was as good as I have seen it in recent weeks.

'But perhaps he is coming back with a bit of freshness now. He looks as though he his coming back a little bit, as do one or two others.

'I hope Guy Moussi and Paul McKenna can do it again, because they are influential players for us.'

Forest had not won in nine games before Tuesday's victory over the Clarets took them back into seventh place, one point behind Leeds.

But Davies insisted: 'It has not prompted a change of mood, because the spirit has always been excellent.

'The mood, spirit and attitude have all been excellent.

'We are on 63 points, we have a good chance of securing a play-off place and we have players who are coming back for us.

'It would be a great time to get another run of form going now.

'But, as I have said, all that matters is that you get into the play-offs, by hook or by crook.

'It does not matter how you do it, as long as you do.'
