Highly-rated former Norwich City youngster Benny Ashley-Seal has signed for Wolves.

The 18-year-old striker has signed a two-and-a-half year contract and will go straight into Wolves’ Under-23 squad.

It is understood Wolves have agreed undisclosed compensation with the Canaries for the youngster’s services.

Wolves appear to have stolen a march on a number of other potential suitors – Ashley-Seal was also linked with moves to Chelsea and Leicester City over the summer.

Ashley-Seal moved to Norwich from Arsenal as a 14-year-old and fast emerged as one of the academy’s brightest talents. He was one of nine City scholars offered professional terms at the end of last season, but after turning it down he became a free agent.

He was involved in the eye-catching runs to both the Premier League International Cup and Premier League Cup semi-finals last season, although he never broke through to first team level at Carrow Road.
