Our Norwich City correspondent David Freezer has posted his marks following the Canaries’ 0-0 home draw with Bristol City.

Angus Gunn

Fourth league clean sheet in a row and guarded well by his outfield team-mates. Kept his concentration to make vital tip over from Jamie Paterson in the 65th minute. 7.0

Ivo Pinto

Kept busy by Joe Bryan and Paterson but stood up to the challenge well and also drove forward, popping up on the left to keep move alive ahead of Cameron Jerome’s disallowed goal. 7.0

Christoph Zimmermann

Confidence is growing game by game, as his relationship with Timm Klose continues to improve. Excellent in the air once again but also strong in the tackle and some tidy distribution. 7.5

Timm Klose

Another determined display and City are still yet to concede a goal with the Swiss international on the pitch this season. Long clearances were a little aimless at times but defending was strong. 7.0

Marco Stiepermann

Another improving with every game, so comfortable with the ball at his feet but also tenacious in the tackle and desperate not to be beaten. Should have scored though, from a move he had started, and urgency late on did leave some space behind him. 7.0

Harrison Reed

Retained his place after performing well at Brentford in midweek and linked well with Trybull in midfield to move the ball quickly. Tenacious as ever but lacks muscle and aerial ability that Alex Tettey brings to the battle. 6.5

Tom Trybull

One of the first names on the team sheet already and becoming a crowd favourite. Tough tackling, dynamic running and sharp passing are making him a key player. Not too far away with two long-range shot and denied by Josh Brownhill’s late block. 7.5

Marley Watkins

After showing plenty of energy and drive as the lone striker at Brentford, Watkins looked less effective wide on the right. Wanted to push forward but was kept occupied by Joe Bryan and his touch was loose before being replaced early in the second half. 6.0

Mario Vrancic

Played in the number 10 role and looked classy on the ball, also made more effort to battle. Hit the post in the first half and won a free-kick on the edge of the box that was deflected just over, before limping off. 7.0

Josh Murphy

Another frustrating shift for the academy product. He knows what he wants to do but can’t quite pull it off at the moment. A break from the starting XI may benefit him in the long run. 6.0

Cameron Jerome

So nearly an excellent afternoon for Jerome. Denied by a narrow offside call, could have had two assists if Vrancic and Stiepermann were more accurate – but it just wasn’t to be. 7.0

Substitutes

Yanic Wildschut (for Watkins, 55)

Injected urgency and a more direct threat but produced little. One excellent recovery run in the 70th minute, charging back to win possession from Jamie Paterson, earning a huge roar of appreciation. 6.5

Wes Hoolahan (for Vrancic 71)

Probed bravely and tried to unpick the lock but too often looked up to find team-mates staring back at him rather than offering genuine options. Landed awkwardly on his knee. 6.5

James Husband (for Murphy, 85)
