Metz attacking midfielder Vincent Thill is being tipped for a move to England - with Norwich City a potential destination.
The 19-year-old impressed on loan at Pau last season but is reportedly out of contract this month with the newly-crowned Ligue Two champions.
French football web site, Soccer Link, claim the Canaries and Championship club West Brom have the highly-rated youngster in their sights, after notching 10 goals and providing three assists in the third tier of French football last season for mid-table Pau.
Thill made his international debut for Luxembourg a month after his 16th birthday and the teenager has already clocked up 21 senior caps - playing the full 90 minutes in his country's 1-1 Euro2020 qualifying draw last Friday in Lithuania.
The youngster is back in action on Monday, with second-placed Luxembourg travelling to face Group B leaders Ukraine.
Thill can operate as an attacking midfielder or a second striker and made his top flight debut in France for Metz in the 2017/18 season.
He revealed in a recent interview with Onze Mundial magazine that he turned down overtures from Bayern Munich to start his professional career closer to home at Metz, before blossoming on loan at Pau.
"It would have been very difficult for me to have a place in Bayern so young. And I wanted to play and fast," he said. "I took a big risk anyway (going to Pau). It was either I took a chance, but I was sure of myself. I knew it was going to work and at the same time, I had no choice, I did not give myself a choice. As an ambitious player, I could not afford to go down in terms of division and not be decisive.
"It allowed me to find myself. I needed to go far from home. I wanted to fight on my own. This year, I have grown immensely. Even though I have always been more mature than people of my age because of my job."
Thill was also asked about his future beyond the end of the current campaign.
"The most decisive thing for me is the project proposed by my future club," he said. "I would like to fall on a coach who has a philosophy focused on possession of the ball. Some championships attract me, but everything in it's time."
Young, upwardly mobile attacking midfielder with plenty of potential, and financially a deal that fits the prototype Stuart Webber has mapped out again recently. A lot of factors suggest Thill is one who would be on City's scouting radar. Particularly with the need to replenish the club's talent pool at development level.
The teenager is gaining decent exposure at senior international level even if his club career has evolved lower down the French leagues.
Given his reported contract status, one worth following if Thill and Metz decide to part company this summer.
