Real Valladolid’s Mohammed Salisu is on the radar of a clutch of Premier League clubs - with City reportedly keeping tabs on the young central defender.
The 20-year-old's consistent displays in his debut top flight season in Spain after stepping up from Valladolid's B team have seen him touted with a move to England.
Spanish daily newspaper, Diario De Valladolid, reported over the weekend the Canaries are among a number of top flight rivals to scout the Ghanaian-born defender.
Everton, who Norwich beat 2-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday, along with Newcastle and Southampton have also been linked along with Sevilla and a trio of Bundesliga clubs.
Salisu is under contract until 2022 but reportedly has a 12m EURO buy out clause in his current deal.
Diario De Valladolid's article claims Salisu, who is represented by the father of Manchester United and Spanish international Juan Mata, has so far resisted overtures from his Spanish club to extend his contract.
City have already been linked with central defensive reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window, with German international Robin Koch a name added to the mix prior to the Canaries' Goodison Park win.
Christoph Zimmermann made a welcome return on Merseyside after his foot injury to partner Ben Godfrey in a solid defensive effort that brought a second clean sheeet of the campaign but Grant Hanley and Timm Klose remain sidelined.
