Norwich City have reportedly been tracking Luxembourg international Danel Sinani

Norwich City eye a deal for Luxembourg attacker Danel Sinani.

City have identified the 22-year-old as a potential signing, with the attacker earmarked as one for the future after an eye-catching league campaign.

Sky Sports transfer centre claimed on Thursday night Sinani is potentially 'close to agreeing' a move to the Premier League's bottom club.

Reporter Kaveh Solhekol revealed the Canaries' interest in Sinani, who is top scorer in the Luxembourg league this season for F91 Dudelange.

The Serbian-born left-footer, who can operate down either flank, has notched 21 goals in 26 club appearances and served up six assists this season.

The 22-year-old also played in Champions League qualifiers at the start of the campaign and has struck four of those goals in the Europa League - including a brace against La Liga club Sevilla in November.

Sinani has three international goals in 14 senior caps and featured in Luxembourg's European Championship qualifiers this season.

City have been linked with a number of wide players in the second part of the transfer window this month, following the departure of Manchester City's loanee Patrick Roberts after a limited impact.

Rayo Vallecano's Adrian Embarba and Napoli's Amin Younes have both been linked with the Canaries, although reports of a loan switch to Norfolk for Younes earlier this week were wide of the mark.

Norwich have so far brought in Ondrej Duda on loan and Lukas Rupp ahead of the transfer window closing on January 31.
