Crisis club Bolton's defensive midfielder Luca Connell is being tracked by a host of Premier League clubs, with Norwich reportedly in the hunt.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects to emerge in the Football League this season, after making his debut for the relegated Trotters back in January.
The Sun claim on Saturday Champions League finalists Tottenham reportedly head the queue of interested parties in Connell, that also includes City, Wolves and Everton.
Southampton and Brighton reportedly were rebuffed in January but with Bolton facing an uncertain future the teenager is expected to depart this summer. Bolton would only be due a compensation figure.
The Republic of Ireland youth international missed Norwich's thumping 4-0 win in the north-west through injury in February, but was a regular in Phil Parkinson's plans after making his senior debut in an FA Cup win over Walsall.
Connell has played in a wing back role and at left back in his youth careeer but caught the eye in a central midfield role over recent months.
A defensive midfielder is very high on Norwich's summer watch list. But that is some seriously hot competition for one of the most sought-after young players in the country.
Norwich's trump card would appear to be their growing reputation for blooding inexperienced players and a willingess to expose raw talent to first team football far sooner than clubs operating at the top of the tree. Interesting one.
