Here is Paddy's verdict on Daniel Farke's troops, who produced a superbly composed display to sweep aside the Magpies at Carrow Road.

- Tim Krul

Will have loved first reunion with his old club. Deserved a clean sheet. Fine stop from Fabian Schar in the first half. 7

- Max Aarons

Front foot football from the off. Carved out an early chance for Teemu Pukki. What an athlete. 7

- Grant Hanley

Solid response after Liverpool outing, up until he allowed Jonjo Shelvey to chop back inside to grab a stoppage time consolation. 6

- Ben Godfrey

Class again. Turned on the afterburners when Newcastle looked to raid quickly to mop up in behind. So composed. 7

- Jamal Lewis

Worrying late exit but Daniel Farke allayed any serious injury concerns after the game. Prominent attacking threat in the first half. 7

- Tom Trybull

Enjoyed plenty of possession in tandem with his compatriot. Combative when he needed to be and no cramp issues this weekend. 7

- Moritz Leitner

Superb shift. Grabbed his chance in a big statement. Substantial number of touches overall, set the tempo and controlled City's attacking output, particularly in the first half. 8

- Emi Buendia

By the Argentine's high standards not his usual influential impact but still carved out another assist with the drilled cross crashed home by Teemu Pukki. 7

- Marco Stiepermann

This was the Stiepermann of last season. Physical presence, linked the play well and threaded the ball that led to Pukki's hat-trick. 7

- Todd Cantwell

Built on his Liverpool display. Oozing confidence in the manner he routinely cut infield and link intelligently with both central midfielders. Clever pivot and perfectly-timed pass made Pukki's second and his burst into the box led to the third. 8

- Teemu Pukki

Still writing his own scripts. Three top drawer finishes. Fearsome volley to open his account at Carrow Road this season and then the cleverness to slot through the defender's legs to wrong-foot Martin Dubravka. Four goals in two Premier League games. Phenomenal. 9
