Daniel Farke is ready to crown Wolves Championship winners – but the Canaries aim to be ‘greedy and rebellious’ at Molineux to delay the coronation.

Farke admits Wolves will be in the Premier League next season, after opening up an 11-point lead at the top of the table down the stretch.

City, however, have shown a healthy lack of respect to the promotion contenders under the German and head to the Midlands buoyed by a thrilling derby comeback against Ipswich Town.

“There is no pressure on us,” he said. “Let’s say we come back to Norwich after an outstanding performance, an outstanding result with some points, that would be another signal for our development.

“If we get beat then we have to learn where we can improve and the areas to grow to be competitive at that high level.

“We can really enjoy this game.

“We have shown against some good sides in this division we are capable of getting results. To show the mentality we did at the end of the Ipswich game says a lot.

“We also took a lot from the Derby game.

“We proved away from home we can keep clean sheets and even when we don’t have our best day and everything is against us we can come up with a late equaliser. We are competitive on each and every level.”

Farke insists Norwich will be a tougher proposition than the team Wolves swatted aside at Carrow Road 2-0 earlier this season.

“We’ve developed from when we first played them,” he said. “It was perhaps the only home game where we had to accept the loss because the opponent was much better.

“We know the size of the task as Wolves is the best team in the league.

“They will 100pc be promoted in the summer. They are the favourites but we are looking forward to the game. We will be greedy and rebellious again.

“They have a lot of quality and their counter-actions are outstanding.

“We know we have to put in an outstanding performance to get a result and that’s what we’re trying to do.

“Wolves will be a different game to Ipswich as they have a different style.

“We might have a bit more space to create but have to be precise. Ipswich defended man against man all over the pitch and that is not the style of Wolves. They have lots of individual quality.

“They are very disciplined and well-structured when they go in front and they have many players to score goals.”
