Angry Farke blasts Buendia’s ‘nursery’ mistake in City’s 2-0 Watford defeat

Daniel Farke warned Emi Buendia to cut out the ‘nursery mistakes’ after another gaffe set Watford on their way to a 2-0 Premier League win on Friday night that left Norwich City rock-bottom of the table.
Gerard Deulofeu cashed in on Buendia's attempted drag back to rifle the fellow strugglers into a second minute lead, before Andre Gray sealed a first league win of the campaign.
Watford played the final 25 minutes with 10 men after Christian Kabasale's second yellow card, but cruised to the victory at Carrow Road.
Buendia was punished for a similar error in possession in the home rout to Aston Villa - and his head coach has had enough.
"To try and nutmeg an opponent 30 yards from goal cannot happen," he said. "Listen, I want my players to be brave and they are totally allowed to try back heels and lobs and no-look passes in the opponent's half, close to the opponent's box. You can take the risk to try something special. But in that area of the pitch you need to play the simple pass. It was a nursery mistake.
"I am pretty annoyed about this and we will definitely speak about this.
"We have many young players and they are allowed to make mistakes, but not out of this mistake.
"There can be a tactical error or an error in the positioning but to play football on the beach for a professional footballer is not possible. I am annoyed because it is not the first time we have had this mistake."
Farke felt City did more than enough to pick up a priceless win.
"It is annoying and frustrating. It was not necessary to lose this game," he said. "We dominated nearly all the statistics in this game. We had far more possession, we had nearly 20 shots and many spells. If you produce naive mistakes, nursery mistakes, it is difficult to win games on this level. Especially the mistake for the first goal. If you do that it is tough to win a game on the beach with your mates.
"To produce such mistakes in the best league in the world is very tough. I would say it was almost game-defining.
"We showed more or less in every game we are competitive. Including this game, but you have to play without easy mistakes. If we can play without these then we definitely have chances to pick up points. Otherwise we are struggling."
