Farke can take or leave Leeds United versus West Brom and Sheffield derby clashes
Norwich City boss Daniel Farke is not fussed what happens when Leeds United host West Brom on Friday night, or the Sheffield derby on Monday, as the Championship promotion race boils to a climax.
City head to Millwall on Saturday and Farke is not spending the rest of his weekend fretting about what their main promotion rivals can do.
Norwich could be replaced at the top of the table, if Marcelo Bielsa’s side bounce back from a midweek 1-0 loss at QPR, when they host the Baggies at Elland Road.
“If Leeds can beat West Brom then they have some momentum and would be top this evening and celebrating. We don’t pay too much attention,” he said. “It is too early to say what is the result that helps us. We are focused on Millwall.
“I have worked as a head coach for 11 years and several times I have been involved in the battle for promotion or titles.
“I have finished runner up and twice I have lifted the trophy and using that experience of winning titles I know one key topic is not to pay any attention to what the opponents are doing or to sit there biting the nails and praying there is a goal against them.
“Just concentrate on what you can influence and produce good performances.
“The momentum in the Championship can change so quickly. We were on fire before Preston then we lost and you could even feel in the next game it felt a bit more difficult in terms of self-confidence.”
