City have completed their January transfer window business - four hours before the official 11pm deadline.

The Canaries issued a statement on their official site just after 7pm on Wednesday underlining their will be no dramatic late night moves in or out of Carrow Road.

“We’re really pleased with our business in the transfer window,” sporting director Stuart Webber told the official site. “Obviously you never want to see good players leave, but we feel that we’ve secured good deals for the club that have allowed us to strengthen in key areas.

“We’ve reduced the average age of the squad, reduced the wage bill and brought in some real quality. We were pleased to get business done early, with players ready for our matchday squad, and it’s good that Marcus Edwards has been in team training this week.

“We had options A, B and C for all eventualities and our business shows that as well as bringing in quality for now, we’re also thinking of the future.

“The signing of Kenny McLean shows we already have one eye on the summer, while we’ve secured really good loans for Todd Cantwell, Adam Phillips, Remi Matthews and Ben Godfrey in order to get our good young players experience of senior football.”

City brought in five new players, with Alex Pritchard the headline departure.

Striker Dennis Srbeny, winger Onel Hernandez and midfielder Kenny McLean have all signed permanently – with McLean heading back to Aberdeen for the remainder of the season – while talented young Spurs midfielder Edwards and FC Augsburg’s Moritz Leitner have both joined on loan.

Pritchard, Cameron Jerome and Harry Toffolo have departed from City’s first-team squad, while Russell Martin, Marcel Franke, Yanic Wildschut, Todd Cantwell and Steven Naismith have secured loan moves.

Meanwhile, Ben Godfrey and Remi Matthews have extended their loans.
