'Annoyed' Daniel Farke admitted Norwich City's latest lacklustre Carrow Road offering was simply not good enough, following a 1-1 Championship draw against Barnsley.

Josh Murphy's deflected early shot got the Canaries up and running but Harvey Barnes levelled for the impressive visitors to deny City a first win in six on home soil.

Farke's side looked laboured and lacking ideas for long spells and were booed by a section of home fans at the final whistle.

'It was the same feeling that we had after this performance,' he said. 'The fans were frustrated and we are too. I am totally annoyed and frustrated.

'That was a pretty poor performance. A draw is a fair result. I can totally understand the fans were not happy with this game. We have stopped the series of three losing games but I am not happy.

'I think our passing quality was not good enough today. We had a lot of good, technical players on the pitch but we wanted to control the game by moving the ball. We didn't do it quick enough, we had far too many mistakes in our passing.

'Easy passes were not made. When you have these technical players on the pitch if that is not working then they are not as strong when we don't have the ball.

'Then the only option is to win some offensive duels but we were too soft in that area as well. That is why we didn't create enough chances.

'The home run is not good. It is always the same in football. Two weeks ago we were the team of the moment and we have an unlucky game against Derby. Then you are not there with the self-confidence. The only thing that helps is to win games. For that, I hoped this was the one. I knew it would hard but we wanted a working win to get some of that confidence back.

'We can force things more. We can be there with a better attitude, to be awake and concentrating on our details. I don't want us to wait for a win, but to force one.'
