Norwich City moved to the top of the Championship table with a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough this afternoon, extending their unbeaten run to eight matches, here’s how the action unfolded...

The Canaries arrive in the north-east third in the table and unbeaten in seven games, having beaten Swansea 1-0 at Carrow Road prior to the international break, thanks to a late Marco Stiepermann goal.

However, Boro are in good shape as well and sit seventh in the table thanks to a 10-game unbeaten run which continued with 0-0 draws at Blackburn and Brentford prior to the break.

Combined with a defensive record of just five conceded in 11 games so far this season - just one of which was during the last seven matches - that form earned Neil Warnock the division’s Manager of the Month award for October.
