The national newspapers' views on Norwich City's defeat at Blackburn Rovers.

Sunday Mirror: “Norwich manager Paul Lambert sympathised with his opposite number, but lamented the helping hand given by his own players . . . they know their job is done and it showed.”

The Mail on Sunday: “By the time Formica turned the game on its head with his strike, Norwich might well have had the result sewn up . . . Norwich were swarming all over the home goalmouth.”

The Observer: “Steve Kean called this a must-win game and win it Blackburn did, though not necessarily in a manner to instil confidence in their supporters for the challenges ahead.”

The Sunday Times: “The visitors looked utterly bewildered, given their earlier chances; the more so within minutes of the restart when Hoilett left Russell Martin trailing on the left.”

The People: “The Darwen End was decked out in yellow and green, yet the Blackburn fans were singing like canaries – their vitriolic chirps directed at Kean and the club’s Indian owners.”
