Harleston Magpies' trip to fellow Premier B title contenders Cambridge City ended with honours even in a 2-2 draw.

First blood went to the hosts from a penalty corner, but Magpies started to create chances and were back on terms when a drilled cross from Robbie Kinsella found Dave Francis on the far post to hit the equaliser.

Cambridge regained the lead from another penalty corner, but Magpies responded in similar fashion as Dan Legg fired home from the top of the circle to make it 2-2 at half-time.

The visitors' best chance of a winner came when Sam Moore dived full length, but was just unable to reach Ben Wright's cross and the game ended all-square.

Pelicans overcame a stubborn Broxbourne side 7-3 with Chris Page scoring five and Seth Walpole and Gavin Johnstone also on target.

Lowly Norwich City let an early lead slip as they slumped to a 4-2 defeat at Letchworth.

After a scrappy opening 10 minutes, Mark Sibson dispossessed the Letchworth centre back and threaded a perfect pass to Pete Morgan, who confidently slipped the ball past the advancing keeper.

Letchworth hit back and went in front with two soft goals, adding a third before half-time.

The hosts hit a fourth in the second half, although Morgan notched his second for City.

Norwich Dragons III opened up a five-point gap between themselves and Harleston Magpies VI in Division 5NE with a 2-1 win.

The Dragons had the better of the first half and took a deserved lead when Mike Banham coolly converted a penalty stroke.

Harleston came out strongly after the break and the pressure eventually told as they scored an equalising goal.

Dragons' winner came from George Walker's mazy run and pass to Chris Harrison just inside the D. His shot was touched in from close range by Andrew Cross.
