Injured King’s Lynn Stars hero Lewis Kerr is urging his pals to change nothing ahead of Monday’s Premiership Grand Final first leg.

Kerr is now cast free after sustaining horrific leg injuries three months ago which ended his season.

He was at the Adrian Flux Arena to see the Tru Plant Stars make it through to their first ever Premiership Grand Final.

They head to Poole for the first leg on Monday with the return at Saddlebow Road when a massive crowd is expected on Wednesday.

And Kerr, a firm favourite with Lynn fans, says the team should keep things simple after a stunning season so far.

“It is going so well,” said Kerr. “Finishing top of the league, having Tofty (Michael Palm Toft) at reserve and everyone flying makes us favourites I’d say but of course, you should never take anything for granted.

“We just have to carry on what we’re doing. If we do that we will be champions. This team has performed all season and now it is about making sure we see it through.”

Kerr has also expressed his gratitude for the backing he has received in his hour of need.

“I would like to thank the fans for their support, everyone here has been superb and the collection made a big difference as well,” he added.

“The people here from top to bottom have been always been fantastic to me and I really appreciate it.”

He’s also said he is bang on target to return to the saddle next season and wants to be back in Tru Plant Stars colours if possible.

“Count me in,” was his message. “Obviously we’ve got these big meetings to focus on first and I would love to see us win the league.

“But once the dust settles on this season I hope the club can find a way to accommodate me in their plans next year.”
