City of Ely star Greg Harlow claimed his maiden Potters Holidays World Indoor Singles Championship with a 9-8 10-3 win over qualifier Stewart Anderson.

Anderson, the first qualifier to reach the world final in Norfolk, kept it tight in the first set and the start of the second, but the key moment came when Harlow scored a triple to move 8-3 ahead.

"It's what I've been playing for all my life," said fifth seed Harlow. "I felt my tactics of using a variety of short-length jacks were spot-on today - I didn't want Stewart to get into the rhythm we'd seen him get into all week, and that worked.''
