Norwich Dragons put in a good show at the Olympic Park before going down 2-1 at third-placed Wapping in their latest Premier Division match.

Player-of-the-match Siobhan Cleeve made a number of fine saves as Dragons withstood some early pressure.

The visitors became more disciplined as the half went but just before the break the wet pitch slowed the pace of the ball as the Dragons sought to switch it around the back. Wapping capitalised and following after a number of saves from Cleeve and a scramble in the area the ball dribbled over the line.

Dragons started the second half well but couldn't find the back of the net and Wapping went 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go after a breaking play.

The Dragons kept battling away and a short corner in the last five minutes saw Liv Thomas demonstrate a nice bit of individual skill, beating several defenders before slipping the ball to Sarah Jenkins who lifted it over the keeper to reduce the arrears.

The match of the day in Division 1N saw runaway leaders Harleston Magpies II entertain third-placed Norwich City and the hosts maintained their 100 percent record with a 3-1 victory. Pui Foung Chung was the scorer for City.

Bottom-of-the-table UEA won for only the second time this season when they edged past fellow strugglers Watton 5-4 while Dereham drew 1-1 with visitors St Neots and Lowestoft's game at St Ives ended goalless,

Norwich Dragons' second team had an excellent day in Division 2NE, beating visitors Colchester II 5-1.

With Sophie Barrow making a welcome return Dragons never looked back after taking the lead after just three minutes through Lucy Morton.

The goals continued to flow, with Jess Bennett, Gail Thomas, Kate McKenna (2) all finding the target before the break. Colchester held firm in the second half to limit the damage and got a deserved consolation.

Norwich City's seconds remain Norfolk's highest placed side in third position after seeing off Framlingham 4-0 at Taverham with the goals coming from Leigh-Ann Worrall (2), Milly Brown and Rosie Humphrey.
