The GB team have made the shortlist for the Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards 2018 following their success in Germany in August.

Former Notre Dame High School pupil Conroy, now aged 25, was an integral part of that success – which was brought to an end by a 56-40 defeat to Holland in the final in Hamburg.

Holland had also beaten GB in the Paralympic bronze medal match two years ago in Rio but, with the silver bring Britain's first in the 28-year history of the tournament, it was hugely encouraging ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. They are nominated alongside the 4x100m athletics relay squad, the England netball squad and Chelsea FC's women's team.
