Norwich City secured their fourth win in five matches, beating Cambridge Nomads 3-1. The result moved them out of the Premier B bottom three and maintained their four point lead over the bottom two.

After an even start Chris Perry put City ahead 10 minutes before the break with an accurate short corner drag flick high into the corner.

With nine minutes remaining City increased their lead when Adie Land's pin-point cross to Bob Hammond was swept in. Nick Wells pulled one back for the visitors but almost instantly Perry converted his second short corner drag flick.

Harleston Magpies II recorded a 3-3 draw with leaders Wapping after giving them a three-goal advantage with 15 minutes left. Goals from stand-in captain Lawrence Baynes, Dave Francis, and top scorer Robbie Kinsella earned Magpies a point while keeper John Livings was excellent.

Dereham never recovered from a disastrous start as they lost 6-4 at Blueharts in the Premier A Division.

The hosts were three up inside six minutes and held that lead until the break. Blueharts moved 5-0 ahead with 10 minutes to play but then lost three players to the sin-bin and Dereham scored four quick goals through Mark Timm, Andy Lawrence and Laurie Hill (2) to set up a thrilling finale. As Dereham pushed forward looking for an astonishing equaliser it was Blueharts who completed the scoring.

Bottom side Wisbech closed to within three points of Dereham by beating Havering 5-3.

Norwich City II suffered a 7-3 defeat at Colchester in Division One, with Matthew Brine, Tom Hindle and Dave Fletcher on target.

In Division 5NE Norwich City IV maintained their good form with a 4-1 win at Sudbury III (Tim Crane 2, Ali Clabburn, Gabriel Marchant) while Norwich Dragons III played well before losing 1-0 at Ipswich and East Suffolk III, with keeper Nick Franklin in good form.

Norwich City VI beat Dereham V 3-2 (Jack Ingham, Josh Harvey, Adam Barry).
