Bateman bronze keeps Norwich club buoyant at Crystal Palace
Holly Bateman, aged 15, returned from Crystal Palace having finished an impressive third in the British Schools Biathlon Championships. The Hellesdon High School pupil, who is a keen swimmer and cross country runner, competed against top athletes from all over the UK.

Running first in the 1km race she achieved a best 3 minutes 6.22 seconds. Her 100m freestyle race then followed, with Holly finishing second in with a time of 1:02.22.
Holly also trains with UEA City of Norwich Swimming Club having qualified for this summer's National Championships, where she will be competing in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle, the 200m and 400m individual medley and the 100m butterfly.
Holly learnt to swim at Drayton with Norwich Penguins.
