Thorpe St Andrew High School's Festival of Sport proved a fantastic hit, with about 100 pupils from local primary schools taking part.
Hillside, Little Plumstead and St Williams all had a go at the mulitskills festival, which was aimed at encouraging younger students to keep fit and active, running alongside the aims and motivations of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The festival was run by young ambassadors Madie Frary, Sophie Piper, Chris Parrott, Emma Piper and Jack Stammers for the Norwich East Schools Sports Partnership.
Students worked their way around eight stations to participate in events like bean bag throw, javelin, sprinting, long jump, speed agility quickness courses and football shoot-out.
All the stations were run by students from Thorpe who are studying GCSE or A-level PE, while the event finished with a relay race involving everyone.
Certificates where given to each school to award three pupils for excellence, respect and determination – three of the principles that were laid out in the UK’s bid to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
