Norwich City Women win at Luton in FAWNL League Cup

Norwich City picked up their second group stage win in the FAWNL League Cup.

Having opened with a win and three points against Cambridge United, they were in control by half-time in a hard-fought encounter at Sharpenhoe Road.

They went ahead with the game’s first shot on goal, on 20 minutes,

The goal came from a move down the right, the ball going from Bryony Brodie to Niyah Dunbar and then Issy Moore, who put in a low pass across the six-yard box which was met by Millie Daviss.

City doubled their lead soon after the half-hour mark, with Moore involved again as he cut the ball back from the byline to Holly Kennard who fired into the far bottom corner.

Luton pulled a goal back on 72 minutes through Chloe Logie, but the Canaries saw the game out.
