Norwich City goalkeeper Angus Gunn believes that his understudy Vicente Reyes is the real deal.
A hamstring injury kept Gunn out of three Championship fixtures prior to the international break, with Reyes deputising twice before George Long started in the 2-1 loss to Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
The Canaries claimed only one point with their third choice between the sticks, as Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to win 3-2 at Carrow Road after a 1-1 draw with Oxford United.
But the Scot says City have a talent on their hands, praising a fellow member of the goalkeepers' union.
"I've been really impressed," he said of Reyes. "I think he looks very composed, very calm for such a young man.
"I think that the stint he had out on loan at Cambridge at the start of the season did him good, and he looked very calm and composed. I thought he did well.
"He's obviously such a young goalkeeper to get his Championship debut. I remember coming back here on loan when I was probably the same age as Vinnie is now, and that's invaluable experience. He'll definitely remember that for the rest of his career."
Gunn's Norwich future may be up in the air at present, but supporters are keen to see him return when West Brom visit Norfolk this weekend. He's assured them that he'll be present after two weeks working on his recovery.
"It's not serious," he told BBC Radio Norfolk of the injury. "Obviously with the games coming thick and fast I wasn't able to make the Bristol City game, but I'll be ready for the West Brom game after the international break.
"Obviously it's annoying at this time of the season to pick up an injury, but thankfully it's not too bad. I'm really looking forward to coming back after the break and being back at Carrow Road as well."
