Here is Connor’s verdict on David Wagner’s Norwich City, who ended their Championship season with a 1-0 defeat to relegated Birmingham.
• Angus Gunn 7
Star man. He kept Norwich in the contest with a string of saves from promising Blues opportunities, the best of which was a dive to his left to smother Bielik's effort from close range after a teasing cross.
Showed good reactions to stop Miyoshi's drive inside the opening five minutes. Was quick off his line to read a through ball and win the foot race with Stansfield a few minutes later. Held a close-range effort from Miyoshi to help Norwich manage the opening storm.
Reacted well after Stansfield was played in over the top on 61 minutes. Dashed off his line to get to the ball first and head clear. Saw little action after Paik nodded the winner, with the game fading out.
• Jack Stacey 5
Birmingham were looking to exploit his high positioning by looking to get Anderson in behind on regular occasions. They were successful on the 17th minute, when the City's full back lost possession but recovered well to concede a corner.
Plenty of endeavour and running, but not worked into opportunities to get crosses into the box in a display where City struggled to engineer positive positions.
One clearance and interception. Aerially strong throughout but loose in possession with just a 63pc pass completion rate.
• Shane Duffy 7
The experienced Irishman got through plenty of defensive work - recording a series of important blocks as he helped Norwich manage some hairy moments amid heavy spells of Birmingham pressure.
Produced an excellent block to prevent Anderson from testing Gunn minutes into the second half.
Limped out of the game with a bloodied nose and feeling dizzy after a clash from an attacking Norwich free kick. Replaced by concussion sub Danny Batth.
• Ben Gibson 6
Quiet performance from City's left-sided central defender, who didn't find himself in the firing line as regularly as his partner at the back. Made a pivotal block to deny Stansfield after four minutes.
Struggled at points in possession, with some of his longer balls missing their intended targets. Hit a few long balls into touch, including in the 59th minute when Borja Sainz had lost his man up the line.
Steady performance. Was key in getting medical attention to a home supporter who fell ill during the first half, without doubt his most important contribution of the afternoon.
• Sam McCallum 5
Like Gibson, a quiet afternoon for the left back. Only 35 touches shows his limited impact during the contest. Completed just 14 of his 22 passes. Won three of his four aerial duels. Misjudged a cross that led to Miyoshi's poke at goal.
During the 90 minutes, he made two clearances, one tackle and one interception. May find his place under scrutiny by the returning Dimi Giannoulis, who was bright in his short cameo in the second half.
• Kenny McLean 5
Another off day for the City captain, who has recorded a few poor performances on the spin after a remarkably consistent campaign that led to him winning player of the season. Once again, McLean's under-par performance coincides with the Canaries being off-colour as a collective.
Lost possession on 16 occasions and failed to find the long switches of play that have proven pivotal to City's build-up throughout this season. Set the tone inside the opening 10 seconds of the second half by gifting possession to Birmingham. Fortunately, Paik's cross was overhit.
Will be hoping to recapture his form as attentions turn to Leeds United in the play-offs.
• Jacob Sorensen 5
Experiment that saw him partner McLean in central midfield and push Nunez into a more advanced role didn't have the desired impact.
Neat and tidy in possession, but problems with progressing the ball up the pitch alongside McLean. Saw a deep cross held by Ruddy after 13 minutes. Allowed Laird to bypass him too easily before clipping his heels later in the half.
Hooked after 56 minutes as City reinstated Nunez into a deeper position. Will be noted as another missed opportunity for the Dane.
• Gabriel Sara 5
A performance lacking the fireworks that have been a regular fixture of his showings of late. Norwich were unable to get him the ball in dangerous positions to affect their attacking game.
Played a underhit reverse pass to Stacey that killed a promising attack early in the contest. Just one shot came from a free kick that was hit too high. Lost possession on 14 occasions underpins the general lack of quality within City's play.
One moment of real quality to slip Josh Sargent in behind the Birmingham defence in the 54th minute, but the American showed hesitation before opting against pulling the trigger.
• Marcelino Nunez 5
Experiment to push him in a more advanced role behind Sargent didn't yield the success Norwich would have hoped. They missed his metronomic influence in the centre of the pitch.
Struggled to get into the game in more advanced areas, but did have both of City's recorded shots on target in the contest. The first was held well by Ruddy at his near post. Then tested the former Norwich goalkeeper with a free kick in first half stoppage time, but the effort was tame.
It was an afternoon that displayed his importance to Norwich when it came to controlling the game and progressing the ball up the pitch. Will likely be reinstated along McLean in the play-off semi final.
• Borja Sainz 5
Quiet afternoon for the Spaniard who, like many of City's forward players, struggled for possession and creativity throughout the course of the afternoon.
Made a positive run in the 67th minute but was tracked well by Laird. The City man did well to win a throw in given he was greeted by two defenders.
Fired a wild shot over the bar late on to encapsulate a quiet afternoon for so many of the Canaries attackers.
• Josh Sargent 5
Operating off a limited supply line throughout the afternoon. Didn't record a single shot throughout the course of this contest.
Limited to just 16 touches over the course of the 90 minutes shows he played on the periphery of the contest. Only sighter of goal came in 54 minute when he was played in behind by Sara, but was too wide to test Ruddy.
Replaced by Sydney van Hooijdonk late on as Wagner turned his attentions to the play-off semi final.

Positive cameo from the returning Greek international who injected some energy into City's attack down the left. Played a lovely ball down the line to Borja Sainz in the 67th minute. Then a dangerous cross towards Sargent on 80 minutes. Knocking on the door.

Quiet cameo beyond one positive driving run through the centre of the pitch in the 78th minute. Still looks a bit short of sharpness.
