David Wagner had his say on the key issues around Norwich City's impressive 3-0 Championship win at Stoke City.

Josh Sargent, Gabby Sara and Ashley Barnes sealed only a second away league win since last December, to open up a three-point gap for his sixth placed side to their play-off rivals.

Wagner, who told BBC Radio Norfolk his absence during the build up this past few days was due to surgery for his wife, had plenty to say on why Grant Hanley was not involved at Stoke, and Sargent's on-going management of the ankle that sidelined him for nearly four months.

Sargent will be assessed in the coming days but looks unlikely to join up with the USA squad for their upcoming Nations League semi-final. Hanley, who was named in the Scotland squad, will definitely stay in Norfolk to embark on a personal fitness programme to re-discover his 'explosiveness' in Wagner's words for the run-in.

Hanley was out for eight months with an Achilles injury that required surgery last year.

Wagner spoke exclusively to the Pinkun on Saturday afternoon in the Potteries.
