Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe's solo goal against Hull has earned him a nomination for the Championship's January goal of the month award.

The England under-21 international slalomed through a number of Tigers challenges before firing past Ryan Allsop from 20 yards with the outside of his foot.

That was one of a number of times Rowe has made vital contributions at key times for the Canaries this season, his headline-grabbing finish opening the scoring in a crunch play-off clash with the Tigers.

He also scored from 20 yards when Liam Rosenior's side visited Carrow Road in the first game of the campaign, the first senior start of his career, kickstarting a run of 13 goals and four assists in 31 games this season.

That form has resulted in interest from a variety of Premier League clubs, with contract talks stalling as he considers his options going into the summer. The 20-year-old only has 18 months left on his current deal, but City have the option to extend that by a further year.

Once-Norwich target Ismael Kone has also been nominated for finishing Watford's impressive passing move against Plymouth Argyle on New Year's Day, while Finn Azaz' volley in the same game has also seen him included.

Coventry midfielder Ben Sheaf rounds off the nominations with his fine finish against Sheffield Wednesday, with boring for the winner open here.

Leeds United chief Daniel Farke was revealed to have won the EFL manager of the month award today for a January including a 1-0 win over his former side at Elland Road. Plymouth's Morgan Whittaker was chosen for the corresponding player accolade, having made five goal contributions in three appearances.

Rowe is likely to feature in City's trip to Queens Park Rangers tomorrow afternoon, having recovered from a broken hand sustained in that Leeds defeat.
