Norwich City were missing leading scorer Jonathan Rowe as boss David Wagner made five changes for the game against struggling QPR at Carrow Road this afternoon.

Rowe picked up a heel injury while on duty for England Under-21s.

There was also no starting place for striker Adam Idah, who has been away with the Republic of Ireland during the international break. He was named on the bench.

However, Wagner was able to name experienced striker Ashley Barnes, who hasn’t been seen since limping off during the home defeat by Leicester City two months ago.

Wagner also reverted to the tried and tested full-back pair of Jack Stacey and Dimi Giannoulis, having  opted for Kellen Fisher and Przemyslaw Placheta for the last game, at Cardiff two weeks ago.

Shane Duffy returned from suspension to replace Jaden Warner at centre-back.

Marcelino Nunez was left out, having only been back since Friday after his Chile commitments, with Onel Hernandez returning.
