The defender rose highest in the 82nd minute to nod Joe Pritchard's free-kick into the net to secure a vital victory for Stanley.
Fellow Norwich loan export Jon McCracken featured in goal for Accrington, but is expected to be called back to his parent club in due course after Angus Gunn suffered an injury that will keep him out until the November international break.
