Teemu Pukki will take his time before deciding his next move after leaving Norwich City.

The Finnish international bowed out of the Canaries after five years in Norfolk and will head off on the final chapter of his footballing adventure after a well-earned break with his family this summer.

There is expected to be a lot of interest in the 33-year-old, who has played almost  constantly for club and country since joining City.

Pukki won't be entertaining any conversations about his next move until the conclusion of that break but felt it was unlikely that he would stay in England after departing Norwich.

"You can never say never but I doubt it," he said when quizzed about his future. "We will see what will happen. I'll see what offers come in the summer then I will decide but I'm open to a lot of things.

"If there is a Premier League club who wants me then that could be an option but we will see.

"There's always been talks and offers, but there is nothing that I would sign right now. I don't know where I'm going to end up next season.

"We will see what happens. I need a break from football and I will probably not answer to my agent for a couple of weeks. If he calls about other stuff than football then I will be interested but not football stuff."

Pukki ended his spell at Norwich as the club's fourth all-time goalscorer with 88 goals in 210 matches after joining on a free transfer from Danish side Brondby.

He has defied all the odds at Carrow Road and was given an appropriate farewell despite the 1-0 defeat to already relegated Blackpool on Bank Holiday Monday.

In the second half, during a stoppage whilst Blackpool defender Callum Connolly was receiving treatment, the Barclay and surrounding areas spontaneously burst into song to serenade the Finn - who was visibly emotional at the time.

"It came out of nowhere and I was not expecting that. It's been an emotional day. I felt quite normal until I came to the stadium," an emotional Pukki said.

"To get that from the fans was amazing. It felt like I have done something right in the last five years."
