Dean Smith previewed Norwich City’s Championship game against Blackburn - and we had all the key lines first direct from Colney with the boss.

Aaron Ramsey and Todd Cantwell were absentees for last weekend's league return at Swansea City.

Smith revealed after the 1-0 victory over the Swans that Ramsey had picked up a knee problem during the club's warm weather trip to Tampa but was back running and targeting Rovers.

Cantwell missed out in Wales to work on his fitness following a chat with Smith in the build up. The City head coach confirmed there was no injury issue behind Cantwell's omission from his plans for the Championship return.

Marcelino Nunez (hamstring) was another who failed to feature. Smith indicated all three trained at Colney on Thursday and will be late calls this weekend.

The City boss also suggested he had no other fitness concerns from those who did feature at Swansea. Josh Sargent was passed fit and started after recovering from the ankle problem that curtailed his World Cup involvement for the US.

Adam Idah made a late second half cameo on his return to the ranks following a knee injury, while Andrew Omobamidele was an unused substitute after his ankle layoff.

Sam Byram (hamstring) and Jacob Sorensen (foot) are in the 'late stages of rehab'. Jon Rowe underwent ankle ligament surgery last week that could keep him out for up to three months.
