Plans were today approved for more than 50 new homes to be built near Norwich.
The homes would be built on the site of former RAF officers housing over three sites at Dowding Road, Taylors Lane and Douglas Close, in Catton.
The plans indicate that 25 of the houses would be detached and 26 would be semi-detached with garages. A total of 12 houses would be rented out at affordable rates.
The plans would mean the tennis courts near Taylors Lane would also be lost but a new children's play space would be created.
