The madness of Eurovision, with dancing gorillas, horses on ladders and one-man duets is not everybody's cup of tea.
So it was just as well an alternative was on offer at Norwich's Theatre Royal yesterday - where hip-hop, not European power pop, reigned supreme.
The Sadler's Wells Breakin' Convention international festival of hip-hop dance theatre featured top dance crews from around the world - and closer to home.
Global performers included Canadian duo Tentacle Tribe, South Africa's Soweto Skeleton Movers and South Korea's Just Dance.
Local crews took part too. North Norfolk-based group Parallel Dance Studios performed a dance piece inspired by classic computer games like Donkey Kong, and Norwich-based all-male dance company Legacy staged their high-energy piece called Water.
As well as the performance itself, the theatre was transformed into a hip-hop zone, with a host of activities including graffiti walls, DJ workshops and dance battles - with youngsters getting the chance to show off their moves.
