The latest clampdown on boy racers who cause a disturbance along Great Yarmouth seafront resulted in 67 drivers being stopped by police on Easter Sunday.
In a bid to put the brakes on anti-social driving along Marine Parade, Operation Clarion saw police and environmental health officers from Yarmouth Borough Council target cars that may have been illegally modified.
For many years the so called Jetty Boys have drawn complaints from seafront residents who say the drivers create a loud disturbance from revving up their engines, braking loudly or blaring out music from their cars.
In previous bids to tackle the Jetty Boys problem, police have carried out high profile patrols and vehicle checks, launched a red card anti-social driving scheme and introduced a Home Zone poster campaign.
Sunday night's operation saw 67 vehicles being stopped leading to 15 fixed penalty notices being issued, two vehicles seized and 17 other motoring offences dealt with.
Seven drivers were also forced to remove the tint from their tinted windows and council officers also issued three noise abatement notices for excessive noise from car stereos.
Police from the South Yarmouth safer neighbourhood team and the Acle road policing unit also used new equipment to test noise emissions for exhausts and gave advice on how Jetty Boys can legally modify their cars.
