Pop superstars JLS will be heading to Norwich along with fellow former X-Factor star Olly Murs this summer for a Carrow Road concert.

The UK chart sensations and double Brit Award winners will perform at Carrow Road on Saturday June 11.

The boy band, made up of Aston, Marvin, JB and Oritse, finished as runners-up behind Alexandra Burke in the 2008 competition of the popular television talent contest and now they are heading for a big Norfolk summer performance.

Will Hoy, head of sales and marketing at Norwich City Football Club said: “They are one of the UK’s biggest selling acts with concerts selling out all over the country, so we have geared up for a very high demand.

“When we heard that JLS will also be bringing along X-Factor finals phenomenon Olly Murs to join the show, as their very special guest, sales are expected to go through the roof and become one of the fastest selling concerts we have hosted.

“The club urges fans not to delay and to make their bookings as soon as possible and to avoid ticket fraud and being overcharged by only buying their tickets from the promoter’s official box offices as advertised.”

Mr Murs was runner-up in the 2009 X-Factor and went straight in at number one with his debut single Please Don’t Let Me Go last year.

The concert comes hot on the heels of Norwich City’s headline Rod Stewart gig and along with the recent announcement of September’s Norfolk Spectacular at the Norfolk Showground, with stars such as Tinie Tempah and N-Dubz, it promises to be an exciting summer for music lovers.

Mr Hoy added: “The JLS concert comes only three days after legend Rod Stewart performs at the stadium on Wednesday June 8. Norwich City FC is delighted to host this huge week of music and look forward to welcoming music fans of all ages from across the county and beyond.”

Tickets are on sale from 9am tomorrow morning but are not currently available direct from the football club. The cost is £32.50 and are available to buy from www.gigantic.com, www.ticketline.co.uk or from 0844 888 9991.

Hospitality packages can be organised by calling call 01603 218704 or emailing canary.catering@ncfc-canaries.co.uk and wheelchair applications are available from 0844 826 1902.
