The line up of performers, ticket prices and a host of other detail has been announced for this year's 'replacement' festival in the village of Worstead.

An appearance from Norfolk actor Roger Lloyd Pack, of Only Fools and Horses and Harry Potter fame, is set to be one of the highlights.

When the annual three-day Worstead Festival was cancelled for 2010 in early March after running for 45 years, it was revealed there would be a smaller music festival held in the village instead.

That event has now been given a name - the Worstead Music and Arts Festival - and a website has been launched and key information released to the public.

The festival will be held in the village near North Walsham on July 23, 24 and 25.

Attractions will include jazz in the village hall from Mike Capocci, while St Mary's Church will host demonstrations from the Worstead Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, singing by The Choir Worstead and a flower festival.

While the church and village hall will play an important part in the festival, most of the entertainment will be held in the gardens of the New Inn village pub.

The main stage line up will include music from Murphy's Lore, Buswood, The Vagaband, The Booze Brothers and The Collective.

Other main stage entertainment will see comedy and science combine with the Science in a Suitcase show, plus Roger Lloyd Pack and his partner Jehane Markham have a poetry spot.

The outdoor adventure park Bewilderwood will be putting up one of several stalls and there will be children's crafts such as wand making.

Parking will be free, the evening-only Friday music will be free and the main days of Saturday and Sunday will cost 3 for adults and under 12s free.

Organiser Toby Rose said: 'We're really delighted with the line up we've got, there's going to be a great mix over the weekend which I hope will appeal to all sorts of ages.

'We're aiming to bring you a fun few days of some of the best local music, poetry, theatre, some historic stuff to do with the village, arts and crafts.

'We're hoping the sun shines too but we can't guarantee that one.'

The festival will kick off with the traditional Friday evening five mile running race at 7pm, organised by the North Norfolk Beach Runners.

The main Worstead Festival is expected to make a return next year, with charity trustees marking last month's cancellation by saying they would present a 'rejuvenated' festival in 2011.
