A wooden chalet bar is set to be part of a traditional market outside The Forum in Norwich this Christmas.

A licensing application has been submitted to Norwich City Council for the wooden chalet which will be located on Millennium Plain.

It's believed it will be part of the Savoir Fayre's Traditional Christmas Market which will be in the city from Friday, December 7 to Sunday, December 23.

The application for the chalet states: 'Wooden chalet which will be a bar and wine store located at Millennium Plain outside The Forum shopping centre in Norwich.

'There will be a seating area adjacent to the bar cabin where people can sit and consume hot or cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages bought at the cabin and consume food bought from other traders around.'

The owners are seeking to serve alcohol from 10am to 8pm on Monday and Tuesday and 10am to 10pm for the rest of the week.

Live music will also be played during opening hours by 'buskers and street musicians' alongside pre-recorded Christmas music.

Members of the public have until November 1 to comment on the application.
