It's a culinary adventure that sees a village-sized community of food lovers take to the streets of Norwich to enjoy a three-course dinner with a difference – and this year there's a new, golden opportunity for moveable feasters.

In addition to the much-loved city centre routes, there is a new Golden Triangle restaurant route for Lloyd Addison's Moveable Feast, supported by Cozens-Hardy LLP, which is one of the highlights of the Norfolk Food and Drink Festival and this year will be taking place on Tuesday, September 23.

The new route will include The Arlington, The Unthank Arms and Debut at Norwich City College.

The Moveable Feast celebrates some of the best food offered in Norwich and sees an army of diners wandering from restaurant to restaurant, enjoying one of three courses at three separate dining establishments.

Diners are greeted with a welcome drink provided by festival sponsor Adnams at The Forum before being given their 'menu' for the evening, a list of the three restaurants they will be visiting throughout the night.

Chefs then prepare starters for their first set of customers before a swift turnaround for the next set of main-course diners and finally serve dessert at the end of the night.

Guests vote on their favourite restaurant for the main course and the winning venue is crowned at the end of the night – last year, Prime at the Edith Cavell scooped the top title.

Other restaurants taking part in the Moveable Feast this year include Lam Thai, The Iron House, The Wine Cellar, The Maddermarket Kitchens, The Dining Rooms at Cinema City, Norwich City College, The Maddermash at The Mash Tun, Farmer Browns, Figaro, Pinocchios, St Benedict's Restaurant, The Library, Brasteds at Bidwells, The Assembly House, Roots, The Spice Lounge, The Norfolk Club with EDP Food and Drink Awards chef of the year Mark Dixon, The Cathedral Refectory, St Giles House, The Maid's Head Hotel and Talc on Timberhill.

Hundreds of tickets have already sold for the event – which is from 6pm to 11pm, and costs £35 a person, including a pre-dinner glass of wine – but there is still an opportunity to grab your chance of an unforgettable multi-restaurant experience.

Last year, Lloyd Addison's Moveable Feast raised £12,000 for Parkinson's UK.

Former Norfolk councillor and Norwich restaurateur Mr Addison founded the feast in 1999 to help raise the profile of the city's independent restaurants and raise money for a worthy cause.

Six years after his death from the illness, the event continues to go from strength-to-strength with more than 1,000 tickets available this year.

Lloyd's wife, Cynthia, is an integral part of the feast's organising committee and spends countless hours every year ensuring the event goes without a hitch.

'I am delighted to see the feast taking place in Norwich once again,' she said. 'It is a very personal and special thing for me to see Lloyd's idea to showcase small independent restaurants in the city coming to life year after year and I am so grateful to all the incredible volunteers who work so hard to make it possible.'
