It was a wet and windy start to the week, with flood warnings in place across the region.
In Norfolk the forecast for Monday, April 30 predicted more rain following a washout weekend, with low temperatures.
Meteorologist Dan Holley shared a post on Twitter, showing rain accumulations over the last 36 hours, with the data generated using Met Office and Environment Agency rain gauge networks.
The post shows that parts of the east coast of Norfolk experienced between 20 and 30mm of rain during the 36 hours, while towards Norwich and west of the city, the weather was less severe, with only seven to 10mm of rain fall.
West Norfolk experienced virtually no rain.
Weatherquest expert Chris Bell said: 'Dan's tweet clearly highlights the east and west split with rain on Monday. Places such as Great Yarmouth experienced rain all day, but other areas such as Fakenham saw plenty of cloud, but very little rain.'
He added: 'The average monthly rain fall for the region is about 50mm, so it's fair to say parts of Norfolk experienced around half a month worth of rain during the day.'
Following on from the rain, the Met Office says the week will improve, with sunshine and showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, with many areas clearing by Thursday and higher temperatures predicted for Friday.
