A super-sized bootcamp of super men and women have been put through their paces in aid of a good cause.

Around 50 people turned up for the free session at Norwich's Eaton Park this morning (Saturday), with donations made instead to Cancer Research UK.

The event raised £632 for the charity.

Organiser Brad Fisher, who runs outdoor bootcamp sessions through Norwich Fitness Club, said one of their members was running the London matharon next weekend and had asked for suggestions for a charity he could support.

Another member said her brother had a grade four brain tumour and had just weeks left to live, and so asked if he would support Cancer Research UK.

Mr Fisher said: 'We decided to also do this special session and a lot of us dressed up as Superman and wore red and blue.

'I was challenged by a member to see how many push-ups I could do, and he promised to donated £1 for each push-up. In the end I managed 60.

'It was a great turnout and we were really pleased with the support on the day.'
