Brownies and Rainbows from Norwich spent two nights sleeping in two of Norwich's most iconic buildings.

Seventeen Rainbows and eight Brownies spent a night in the Forum as part of earning their Nights at the Museum badge.

When the girls arrived the Fusion digital gallery screens displayed images of Egyptian artifacts and the Curve became a cinema for the showing of Hollywood blockbuster comedy Night at the Museum.

At 9.30pm the girls settled down to a night sleeping on airbeds in the Curve foyer.

After breakfast the next morning, the group went on an early morning walk through Norwich stopping at City Hall, Memorial Gardens, Guildhall and the market.

The sleepover finished with making mosaic certificates, scarab beetles and completing an activity book.

This event was followed by 23 brownies spending the night in the historic Guildhall buildings, pictured bottom. The unit leader of Old Catton Rainbows, Tracey Miller, said: 'They saw a re-enactment of the trial of an eight-year-old boy named William Tuck, who had been caught stealing two empty bottles. After hearing all the evidence, the girls decided to give him a caution, but in real life he was sentenced to transportation to New Zealand.'

The girls then listened to a storyteller before going to sleep.

Mrs Miller, said: 'The Forum and The Guildhall have only just been approved by Girlguiding for sleepovers, so this was a first for our Rainbows and Brownies.

'They all had a fantastic time and it was a great opportunity for them to stay in such well known buildings.'
