Love Wymondham saw a new venture launched that benefits both the environment and a cancer charity.
Veginets is a new product made by Wymondham residents Nicola Maunders and Jo Ford.
The handmade reusable bags are created from net curtains which due to their light weight can be used for fruit and vegetables in supermarkets without triggering an 'unexpected item' announcement
The two women are hoping to create a group of people to make the bags, appropriately named The Networkers. The products are available to buy for £1 in The Big C charity shop and Pasta Gusto in Wymondham, with proceeds going towards The Big C.
Ms Maunders, a pharmacist, said: 'We were in France, and the shops were selling cotton muslin bags for the fruit, very expensive, but I thought that's a good idea.
'Jo, who does a lot of work for The Big C has really taken off with it, and has made 250 bags today out of net curtains donated to the charity shop.'
