Police were called to a collision this afternoon involving two vehicles and a lamp post.
A car crashed into a lamp post in Gurney Road around 4.40pm. The post then fell on top of the car which was badly damaged.
A Vauxhall Corsa and a Mazda were involved.
Fire crews from Sprowston and the heavy rescue appliance from Carrow attended.
They assisted the police and carried out scene and vehicle safety.
