A Costessey couple were so disappointed with their honeymoon hotel that they turned round and came back home rather than stay the night.
However, now the newlyweds have now been offered the chance of a second honeymoon thanks to the Evening News and the Sprowston Manor Marriot Hotel.
Emma and Darren Fish tied the knot at Norwich Register Office on Saturday and set off the following day for a two-night stay in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.
When they arrived at the town's city centre Travelodge, they said they were horrified to find a stain on the bed, marks on the walls and used tissues in the bathroom.
Travelodge is now investigating the couple's complaint.
Mrs Fish, nee Reynolds, has been on holiday to Clacton before and said she wanted to visit it again.

She said: 'My father-in-law booked it for us as a treat for our wedding and we booked it online. I thought it looked like a lovely room.
'When we got to the hotel it was like a hostel and nothing like the pictures. There was barely any furniture in it, we didn't even have a wardrobe and there was a big stain on the bed.
'The bathroom floor flooded and there were tissues all over the bathroom. We were both really upset.'
The couple, who had a reception at the Anglian Windows Social Club, decided to not even stay overnight and drove back to their home in Richmond Road.
They have a 14-month-old daughter, Katlyn, who was born prematurely and so they did not want to go away too far or for too long on their honeymoon.
Mr Fish, who is currently unemployed, said: 'It went completely and entirely wrong. It wasn't what it was advertised like.
'It was a big disappointment because I know she was really excited about it.'
Now one of Norwich's most prestigious hotels has stepped in to give the couple a slightly-belated honeymoon night to remember.
While it may not be on the Essex coast, the Sprowston Manor Marriott hotel is set in 170 acres of mature parkland and combines the elegance and informality of an English country house with a romantic setting.
Mrs Fish, who said the two nights at the Travelodge had cost �69, said: 'This is a nice surprise. It's great news.'
Mel Benns, director of sales at Sprowston Manor, said: 'Any honeymoon is very special no matter where in the world and to have it ruined is just terrible.

'When we heard about the couple's situation and disappointment, we just had to step in and offer an overnight stay in one of our fabulous four poster suites with famous Marriott Revive bedding, a duo bath tub and all the luxury on offer at the manor.
'Sprowston Manor will hopefully give Emma and Darren great memories of their honeymoon and the time spent in the beautiful surrounding of the recent and totally renovated hotel. We promise, this will be a time to remember.'
A spokesperson for Travelodge said: 'We take customer complaints very seriously and are currently in discussion with Mr and Mrs Fish to resolve their concerns. Clacton-on-Sea Travelodge has an excellent customer services record, and to date has not received any customer complaints since it opened last summer.'
