Supporters lined the streets to cheer on the record-breaking number of 6,205 runners racing along a 10km route.

It took in some of Norwich's most iconic landmarks, including Norwich Castle, Norwich Cathedral and Norwich City Football Club's Carrow Road stadium.

Norwich City's sporting director Stuart Webber started the race for the first batch of runners at 9.30am today (Sunday, July 21), with the participants setting off in waves from Gentleman's Walk.

The race finished at St Peters Street in front of City Hall and competitors were then directed to St Giles Street where they will got their medals, a banana and a goody bag.

The city centre was closed to traffic during the run.

The men's race was won by Logan Smith, with a time of 31:42, with Ben Spratling second with 31:57 and Piers Arnold third with 32:22.

Iona Lake won the women's race with 36:24, Rose Penfold was in second spot with 37:14 and Philippa Bowden was third with 37:34.

Those running for charity had to commit to raising a minimum of £100 for their chosen charity, with Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, The Nancy Oldfield Trust and Headway - Norfolk and Waveney the three official race charities.
