A Thorpe St Andrew supermarket is hoping to encourage further support for the Royal British Legion by offering a poppy recycling service.
The Sainsbury's store in Pound Lane, Thorpe St Andrew, is providing a poppy collection box for the fifth successive year.
All collected poppies are broken down into their individual components and recycled into new poppies.
Jason Symonds, store manager, said: 'The Poppy Appeal was a great success this year for fundraising, with £7305.52 raised at the store, and we'd like to thank everyone who contributed. With this recycling initiative, we wanted to show our customers another way they can support The Royal British Legion and make sure their poppies don't go to waste.'
During the supermarket's poppy appeal they hosted the choir of Norwich school, Little Plumstead Primary, who sang war time songs in aid of the Royal British Legion.
