Staff and customers at the Sainsbury's supermarket in Thorpe St Andrew are getting into the Halloween spirit early at the end of this week, in conjunction with chocolate manufacturer Cadbury.

On Friday the Pound Lane store will be one of just 30 Sainsbury's stores around the country to be taking part in the Cadbury Halloween fun days.

Between 10.30am and 5pm children will be able to take part in a host of free activities to celebrate Halloween, with free face-painting available from 11.30am. Witches and wizards hats can be decorated on the day and children can also colour in Halloween characters.

A hamper full of chocolate goods will be up for grabs in a free prize draw, with the winning ticket to be drawn at 6pm and the winner contacted that evening.

Sainsbury's Pound Lane store manager, Andy Stewardson, said: 'We're really looking forward to working with Cadbury and helping to give families an Halloween to remember this year.

'From face-painting to being in with the chance of winning a fantastic chocolate hamper, there really is something for all the family to enjoy the Halloween experience.'
